WHAT IS MUAY THAI?
Muay Thai is Thailand’s national martial art, known as “The Art of Eight Limbs” — using punches, kicks, knees, and elbows to create one of the most effective and respected striking systems in the world.
But Muay Thai is more than just fighting — it’s a skill, a discipline, and a craft that constantly challenges you to improve.
At Maneema, training sessions combine authentic Thai-style coaching with a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. Classes include pad work, technique drills, partner training, conditioning, and optional sparring — helping you develop real Muay Thai technique, timing, balance, control, and fight IQ.
Most people start because they want to learn Muay Thai. As training progresses, you naturally become fitter, stronger, sharper, and more conditioned along the way.
Whether your goal is to build solid fundamentals, gain confidence, compete, or simply train consistently in a motivating environment, Muay Thai keeps you engaged because there is always something new to improve.
You’ll leave each session challenged, energised, and hungry to come back and get better.
Today, Muay Thai has grown into a global community embraced by people of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to professional fighters.

Maneema Muay Thai is an authentic Muay Thai gym in Sydney, located just minutes from the CBD. Based in a unique loft-style facility on Parramatta Road in Camperdown, we offer genuine Thai-style training in a focused, welcoming, and professional environment.
Maneema Muay Thai is proudly family-owned and operated, led by Thai head coach Kru Pong. Our coaching is driven by real Thai trainers who have grown up with Muay Thai — not just learned it. Alongside with Kru Pong, we have Kru Pick and Kru Ken, all from Sinbi Muay Thai, our team brings authentic fight experience, traditional training methods, and a deep understanding of Muay Thai as both a martial art and a discipline.
Here, you’ll learn Muay Thai — the Art of Eight Limbs — the way it’s meant to be taught. We prioritise strong fundamentals, proper technique, and long-term development, ensuring every student builds real skill from day one.
Our classes are structured, disciplined, and purposeful. When it’s time to train, we train — with focus, intent, and attention to detail. At the same time, we maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere where students enjoy the process, build confidence, and stay consistent.
The culture at Maneema is what sets us apart. You’ll find a friendly, inclusive environment for all levels — beginner to advanced — that is welcoming to all backgrounds, ages, and female-friendly.
We combine this with high standards of coaching, creating a space where everyone feels supported while still being challenged to improve. Expect the sound of pads cracking, bags being worked, and clear, hands-on instruction from coaches who genuinely care about your progress.

Born in the Songkhla Province in southern Thailand, Pong started training Muay Thai when he was just 7 years old. He went on to have 70 fights before naturally transitioning into a trainer at the young age of 18. In 2018 he was scouted by Sinbi Muay Thai, Phuket to join the top team of 30 trainers and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest head trainers.
